Hesira made an excellent post about beauty. It was in response to Susan's post on the subject. It refers to the Dove campaign for real beauty, which has this video of a model being altered for an ad.

For me, what I see as beauty, is a really sincere, warm smile that lights up a room. The cliche about beauty coming from within applies here.

I have many more thoughts on the subject, but I'm barely coherent. The crud has found me and instead of feeling better the next day as I keep anticipating, I apparently have yet to reach to the peak of crudness. Ugh.
