Not enough yarn
The pattern calls for the sleeves to be knit straight for 6 inches and then start shaping. The shaping takes 16 rows to do. Obviously not enough yarn here, but the funny thing is, I was hoping it would work out this way.

I think that would be cute with the stripes on the sleeves.
I love those flowers. We call them railroad daisies, but I know they have a real name. I've painted pictures of them before. Nice shot!
